Earning for Learning

What is Earning for Learning?

As a means of raising extra funds, Sunset Ridge participates in several on-going programs, that involve such things as saving labels, receipts, box tops and other similar activities. These "fundraisers" do not require you to sell a product, nor do they cost you anything. They only take a few minutes of your time.

We would hope that everyone in our school community would take the time to collect labels, receipts and box tops for the products your family uses. These items can be collected year round and can be sent to school with your student, or you can drop them off yourself. There is a collection box for all the programs outside the school office. We appreciate everyone's help and cooperation in this worthwhile effort. Please ask relatives and friends to save for you as well.

The following is a brief description of each of these programs. Thank you in advance for your participation in these worthy programs.  Here is a PDF of the Earning for Learning handout in case you want to share it with relatives or have it for your own reference:

This year's goal: 20,000 Campbells UPC Codes!

Save UPC codes from participating Campbell's, Prego, Swanson, Pepperidge Farm, Dannon, BIC, and V8 products along with TIME corporation magazine codes!. These are used to obtain educational materials and playground equipment through Labels for Education!

One way to participate is to collect lids and UPC codes from the List of Eligible Products from Campbell's, Franco American, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, etc. ALL YEAR LONG!   You can turn these in to school at any point during the school year by dropping them off in the dropbox in front of the office.  I will be turning in codes throughout the year to try and take advantage of some bonus opportunities throughout, so please send them in often!

It is very helpful if you cut the UPC codes on packages and containers before sending them to school.  Also, we must only have the UPC codes from products!

Click here for a List of Eligible Products.

Sunset Ridge staff uses the points earned from the labels to select items that will benefit our school and students, including items for the classrooms, gym classes, library, staff workroom and recess toys.  If you would like to keep up to date on information from our school on how we are doing, you can “Like” the Sunset Ridge Labels for Education page on Facebook or you can look at the My School page on the Labels for Education site.
